Short Task

·

Shorttask.com is a new website. It is similar to mturk.com by amazon. You can sign up and start working on various tasks listed. The tasks range from simple like bookmarking a site to slightly complicated like positing a review. You can get paid from $0.02 to $3 or more. Most of the tasks are time bound i.e you have to complete the tasks in the time specified. They pay via paypal. The minimum payout is $50.

Update 7/10/2009

I received a comment on this post today saying it is a scam. I would love to get more views on this. If you have or are working on short task please share your opinion and help us decide if it is a scam or legitimate opportunity.

The two best best reviews of this site are at http://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/0/467/RipOff0467997.htm and http://hubpages.com/hub/Short-Task--Scam.

It is an absolute scam. Short Task is designed to pay people to promote and advance all sites owned by A Harrison Barnes. I've looked at the site a few times and never saw a task that paid more than $3.00 and that was once. Most of the 60,000 tasks just pay a few cents and you can't get your money until your account reserve reaches almost $50.

Their system has changed, you can now get paid out with any amount through paypal I have been with them 3 days and I have done 5 tasks 3 have been approved 2 are pending and I have made $5.20, it's not a scam, they are honest and upfront about what they offer, just because the people posting the jobs are cheapskates doesn't mean its a scam, just not a BIG moneymaking opportunity. you can make a little but of spare change when you see a task you don't mind doing.

Hi Paul,
Thank you for your comments. May I ask what kind of tasks have you performed?

Hello All,

I really believe that short task is not a scam.. Paul is right, short task has now offered higher rewards.

And one thing that really convinced me that short task is not really a scam is when 2 tasks I performed was rejected by missing one of the requirements asked.

I think that make sense a lot, because they can just approve anything even task is not performed that well.

I don't think this company is a scam, but it may take a while to get to payout. The last time I logged into my account the minimum payout was set at $10.00, so I'm not sure if that's changed or stayed the same. I've never completed any tasks there, but I did use it as a seeker. Has anyone got payment proof they'd like to share?
