date or relevant? This is where you can contribute. We are looking for creative thinkers who enjoy

browsing the internet and would like to express their opinion on the quality and content of what is

currently out there on the web. You will be provided with guidelines and scoring criteria on how

best to evaluate an internet search result.

You will have the flexibility and freedom to work from your own home, working your own hours,

depending on availability of tasks (10-20 hours per week). Payment will be based on completion

of the agreed upon tasks or engagements within the specified time period.

Requirements:

§ Fluency in written and verbal English.

§ Preferred level of education/certification - Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent)

§ Access to and use of a broadband internet connection and associated computer and software

to perform the work, all provided at your own expense

§ Experience in use of web browsers to navigate and interact with a variety of content

§ Time Management Skills

Segmentation Editors needed - Lionbridge, Seattle area

Position Description: 

The Segmentation Editor supports online advertising products by building query segments that in turn train search algorithms used by the search engine.  Candidates will work with the Behavioral Targeting analyst team to learn and use various user segmentation tools.  Applicants must be based in the greater Seattle and metropolitan area and must be fluent in English; both written and verbal.  This is a regular part-time work-from-home position 20 – 25 hours per week requiring attentive, decisive and motivated individuals who can learn quickly and adapt to changing guidelines.

Required Skills/Background

    * Candidates must be familiar with the culture, history, & current affairs of Australia.  This is a major requirement of the program as the work you will be involved in will require an extensive knowledge of the Australian market.
    * Ability and desire to do product research on the Internet
    * Knowledge of popular web search engines, informational portals, and general pop-culture of the target market
    * Ability to prioritize and sort information
    * Ability to recognize patterns and draw conclusions from those patterns
    * Ability to pinpoint the core meaning and intent of keyword queries and phrases
    * Critical thinking skills (defined as: the analysis, synthesis, evaluation, and reconstruction of thinking).
    * Data analyzing skills (understand basic database structures)
    * Excellent communication skills and demonstrated professionalism (Customer Support)
    * Fluency in English

 Qualifications:

    * A BS degree in Computer Science, Business or equivalent
    * Familiarity with US market advertisers and brands for various verticals, such as Retail, Fashion, Consumer Products, Automobile, etc.
    * Ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal) in English
    * Experience/knowledge with various data analysis tools, such as Excel, SQL Server
    * Attention to detail and data accuracy.
    * Demonstrated willingness to learn new techniques.
    * Superior communications skills, both verbal and written.
    * Ability to draw conclusions from data and recommend actions.
    * Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

IM Shopping is Hiring !!

IMshopping will begin hiring from their site starting on October 27th. They will be inviting community members to become paid Shopping Assistant Guides at that time. In order to be invited, you must answer 25 questions on the site to showcase your research skills. Shopping guides are invited every week to become a paid guide.

Another non-phone gig I found recently. It is similar to chacha but you don't have to give a test to join. Its not as busy as chacha.com. You are paid $0.20 per conversation. You have to find the answers using all the resources available. You do not have to accept a question if you do no know the answer and you can pass on the conversation to another expert at any point. There are more questions available in the morning than evening. You can use my referral link here. It wont cost you anything but I will get some points :-)

AQA Researcher

AQA - Any Question Answered is service similar to chacha.com except it is not free to ask. They accept researchers based in Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, USA and Canada only. They test you on English language and research skills. If you pass you will be accepted as an Independent contractor to answers questions for AQA. It is not an easy test. You need to have excellent writing skills, including grammar and sentence structure along with exceptional web research skills. The pay is decent and you can work anytime.

What you are doing is creating SeRP i.e search results page for a topic of your choice. For doing this you need to be knowledgeable in the topic that you are creating the SeRP. Of course there is a training video provided for you to understand how to go about creating a SeRP. Once the SeRP you created is accepted you get paid.
