Terescription does transcription and logging for production studios. They are currently training transcribers to contract with them from their homes. They need independent contractors to take a media file that is downloaded to their home computer and create a transcript (a typed script of all the dialogue in the video) of that media file. Then upload it back to the show.
How to Proceed
- Sign up at the Terescription Transcriber Sign up page.
- Check your email inbox for a validation email.
- Click on the link in the validation email. This will validate that we have the correct email address for you.
- Fill out all your contact information. You will then receive an email explaining step by step process of becoming a transcriber for them. They will also provide you details about payment and schedule.
- You will also have to submit a sample transcription before you can be hired.
- You are expected to have a foot pedal and a decent typing speed to make decent wage.

I read the website, and started the process. But i'm having a heck of a time downloading the software. Right now the setup/install shield is just stopped, and has been for IDK, 20 minutes or more. I've reinstalled or tried to a few times. I tried from IE and then from Firefox. is it just me?
I have had the same problems. If you send an email to your trainer they might be able to help you. Be specific about your problem though.
