Will I get a nonphone work at home job ever?

·

I am sure the question has crossed your mind. The answer is yes. But when? Well, that really depends on a lot of things. What kind of job are you looking for? Do you want to work part time or full time? What kind of experience/background you have? But the most important one is how patient you are, because it takes a lot patience to hunt, research and apply for legitimate work from home jobs. If you have just started looking for a wah job you should know that there are a lot of scammers out there. According to recent article in Readers Digest, the ratio of scams vs legitimate wah jobs is 54 to 1! So yes its going to take a lot of time to work your way to a legitimate job. If you are one of the lucky ones you may land a job tommorow. It has been known to happen :-) If you are not, you may need to hang in there for some time.
There are few things you can do to try to shorten the wait time.
1.Make an attractive resume. If you are not so good at resume writing you may want to consider hiring someone to write one for you. Your resume should highlight the success you have achieved working from home. If you are just starting to work from home you should highlight the skills that will make the prospective employer believe you will excel at working from home.
2.Treat looking for a job as a job.
3.This goes without saying but I will still mention it. Apply Apply Apply to all the jobs that you find interesting and that fit your work profile.
4. Include a custom cover letter for the position explaining how you would be a good fit. Keep it short, to the point but not abrupt.
5. If, after waiting for a few days there is no response, don't be afraid ask if the position has been filled.
6. Be ready for rejection. As bad as that sounds, don't let rejection get you down. There is a fierce competition for work at home jobs, more so for non phone jobs and there will be times where someone else will be chosen over you.
7. MOST Important. Do NOT give up hope. Your dream job is out there waiting for you. You will definitely find it and chances are it will be just when you are at the end of your rope. :-)

Good luck and God Bless !

If you have anything to add to the list please add a comment. Thanks!

I have been looking for my first work at home job since September.. (Very LONG time!) and still going. I have been JOBLESS.

I know for a fact I would be great worker working from home. I am very creative, I am online 24/7, I have Photoshop skills, researching skills, and data entry skills.

It completely sucks because I have nothing to put on my resume that's about working from home. I have only worked at temp agencies that pay 9.50 and 40 hours a week. I highlight my researching skills, typing, Photoshop skills, and that I learn quickly.. But nothing.

It's so hard to get hired. Sometimes I lose hope and feel like it's a sign that there is no work out there for me. =( I want to work full-time or close to full-time for 10.00 an hour, or more. I really feel like I am at least worth 13 an hour.

Great post!

Hi Amber, I understand your frustration at not finding a job. I was looking for over 4 months before I landed a work from job. It really takes a lot of patience. You will land a job, don't give up! I suggest trying Chacha or Weegy and may be Quicktate so you could put some work from home experience in your resume.
Could you give me your email? I may have something that might interest you.
